WELCOME TO THE MUNCH TRAVELOGUE!
My name is Shenise and I am the owner and creator of the LLC, The Munch Travelogue. I consider myself a curious global citizen that loves to learn about other cultures and food ways. My motto of learn, see and do encompasses everything I strive to achieve on my adventures and is the baseline for how I present my travel guide to my fellow adventurous travelers.
My goal is to showcase those untapped treasures in our world that have a heavy emphasis on the African diaspora through food, travel and culture. Each travel guide provides you a reference point to jumpstart your wanderlust and discover an activity that may have been outside of your frame of reference.
In addition to The Munch Travelogue, I am a freelance writer that has written for several online and print publications such as SoulCiti, DCist and the Zebra Press. I also had the honor of being inducted into the 2022 Alexandria, VA 40 under 40 cohort and was recently recognized as the Black Travel Alliance’s member of the month in August 2024.
